I'm in the Bicycle Club

As soon as I decided a bicycle was what I really needed, vintage Raleigh bikes started popping up everywhere and anywhere. From that moment onwards Bristol became a giant exclusive bike club and I appeared to be the only non-member!

Months of trawling through internet bike searches ensued and I became obsessed with stealing envious glances at bikes and giving evil glances to their owners.
This ends today; today I finally get a bike of my own.

I have this image of myself casually cycling along looking aloof and carefree (and distinctly French) and now I can look forward to being the recipient of those envious glances.

Here's to a summer of bike rides and adventures!

One Step Closer

It seems i'm now one step closer to being re-immersed in a Jean Pierre Jeunet type setting. I've just booked plane tickets to go and stay with my friend Colette in Paris in May.

We will drink red wine, eat bread and cheese and swan around in an aloof manner pretending to be French and important.

Amélie Poulain

Some days I wish I was Amélie Poulain.

In short, I wish life was carefree; a red and green palette of bicycles, cafés and crème brûlée.

The Egg Basket

So, my mum always told me not to put all my eggs in one basket.
But I think they'll be safe here.

Today, I'm on the hunt for doors to break down.
